To register with the Academy, students must fill out the registration form. Students, (even lesson-by-lesson), commit to ONE full semester of lessons by registering.
Amy's Academy offers open enrollment so you may register for classes at any time. If a student begins lessons in the middle of the semester, we will prorate for the number of lessons remaining before the beginning of the first full semester.
There is a one-time registration fee of $15 for each student and $10 for each additional family member.
Payment for lesson packages (i.e. 10 or 15 lessons) are broken into two payments, unless arranged otherwise.
Tuition and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
We accept payment through Cash, Google Wallet, Paypal or Check.
There is a $30 fee for any returned checks, in addition to any additional bank charges we incur.
For each week a payment is overdue, $10 will be added to the balance due until the payment has been made.
Amy's Academy reserves the right to suspend or discontinue instruction of any student who is delinquent in fulfilling his/her financial obligations at any time.
Amy's Academy reserves the right to dismiss any student due to frequent absences, disciplinary problems, overdue tuition payments and/or parental noncompliance with Academy policies.
If any class has insufficient enrollment Amy's Academy reserves the right to cancel the course or to offer the class with an adjusted tuition rate, length and/or number of class meetings.
Students arriving late will not have their lesson time extended. Students arriving late by more than half of their lesson period will be considered absent, and their instructor will be dismissed. These lessons will not be made up nor discounted.
Lessons canceled by the student for any reason other than accident or emergency cannot be made up, nor will a tuition refund/credit be given. However the studio, at its discretion, MAY offer a courtesy makeup based on the schedule of openings for the week, but is under no obligation to do so. Courtesy make-up lessons are not guaranteed and may not be offered if unavailable. In order to be considered for a courtesy make-up lesson, a parent/student must call/email the studio at least 48-hours in advance if a known absence is coming, or ASAP in the case of an unforeseen illness, accident or emergency. If the parent/student does not call/email in advance, no courtesy make-up lesson will be offered.
No students should attend lessons when sick (ie fever, nausea, vomiting, etc). Amy's Academy reserves the right to dismiss a student from a scheduled lesson if the student arrives at that lesson exhibiting possible symptoms of illness. In this case, a makeup lesson will not be offered. In the event of illness, a courtesy make-up lesson may be given, if the schedule allows, but is not guaranteed.
Contracts are PER SEMESTER (i.e. Spring/Summer/Fall). To discontinue lessons and suspend tuition charges please notify Amy's Academy, in writing, one full month prior to the month of termination. Notice given to the instructor only (verbally or otherwise) and non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal from lessons. For example, if you plan to discontinue/suspend lessons in May, then we will need to receive your written notice by the first lesson in April. If no notice is given by the first lesson of the month before lessons are being discontinued/suspended, the student/parent will be responsible for the next full month's tuition.
In the event of an instructor absence, the studio reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute or schedule a timely make-up session for lessons missed. Amy's Academy reserves the right to replace a current instructor with a new qualified instructor.
If the studio is closed due to inclement weather, students will be invited for special make-ups which could include private or group lessons.
Amy's Academy holiday/break closures mirror those of the Southern Utah Public School System. No makeup lessons are given for holiday closures. You will be notified in advance of any exceptions.
When bringing your child to music lessons, make sure your child makes it to their lesson and the teacher is present. Amy's Academy nor it's teachers are responsible for unattended students.
To ensure your child's safety, children will not be allowed to wait unattended. It is expected that everyone wait quietly as to not disturb ongoing lessons. Please do not drop off students more than 5 minutes prior to lesson time and pick them up promptly. Amy's Academy faculty and staff do not supervise children waiting before and/or after classes/lessons. No food, drink or roughhousing is permitted. Behavior that is in any way unruly or disruptive to our students is unacceptable.
Any photographs, audio or videos of students or families on Amy's Academy facilities and/or events may be used in promotional publications, website or press releases. There will be no compensation for the release. Parents will be presented with a Release form to sign giving or declining permission at the first or second lesson after registration.
Amy's Academy reserves the right to change policies, fees, or waivers at any time. Parents and Students will be notified of any changes.
